The People Behind the Pages

Made With Lived Experience & Clinical Care

"Just Write" was born from a friendship, a shared belief in the power of words, and a deep commitment to making healing accessible to everyone.

I'm Margaret Ngumi, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C — a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and family nurse practitioner based in Marietta, Georgia. I've been a registered nurse since 2004 and a nurse practitioner since 2012, and I now practice full-time in psychiatry. I founded Haven Integrative Health, where I treat adults navigating depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, and relational rupture.

This journal grew out of what I kept hearing in session — that people had nowhere to put the parts of grief, heartbreak, and self-blame that didn't have language yet. So Eva and I built one. It is in two parts: everyday pages for daily check-ins and open reflection, and themed deep dives for grief and loss, heartbreak, self-love, inner child, and manifestation. The Emotional Crisis Plan in the back is a structured safety planning tool I adapted from evidence-based crisis intervention practice, written for use outside of a clinical setting.

I'm dually board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (PMHNP-BC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FNP-C). I write publicly about mental health on Instagram at @noni_psychnp.

Letters by Eva

Eva brings the lived experience- the real, raw, human side of healing. She wrote this journal for everyone who has ever needed a safe place to land.

Her journey through self-rediscovery is woven into every page of "Just Write". She knows what it feels like to stare at a blank page and not know where to start, and she designed this journal so no one else has to feel that way.

Eva believes that healing doesn't have to be clinical or complicated. Sometimes it just takes a pen, a page, and the courage to be honest with yourself.

Eva also writes personally about healing, illness, and recovery on her own blog, Letters by Eva.

"I wrote this for the version of me who needed it most — and for everyone who feels the same way."

"Two best friends. One journal. Created for you."

Just Write is the result of years of lived experience, clinical knowledge, and a shared belief that everyone deserves a safe space to heal — even if that space is just a page.
